POPIA Privacy Notice

YTW Training and Learn Blended are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect your personal data (Identity Document, CV, and Qualifications) strictly for the purposes of your enrollment, training administration, and mandatory reporting to the QCTO and relevant SETAs. Your data is stored securely and will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by law for your certification. Here is our POPIA Policy

Workplace Testing Consent

As part of your professional development and workplace readiness, you may be required to participate in standard workplace screenings. This ensures a safe, fair, and professional environment for everyone.

What You Need to Know
  • The Requirement: You may be requested to cooperate in a polygraph, breathalyzer, and/or drug test as and when required by the Company and/or your Training Provider.

  • Employment Link: This consent forms an official part of your contract of employment.

  • Voluntary Agreement: By agreeing below, you indicate that you understand the reasons for these tests, and accept this policy voluntarily without any undue pressure or duress.

If you have any questions or require clarity before proceeding, please contact Yolande Windvogel.

Workplace Attendance Policy

Your learnership consists of two mandatory phases: classroom attendance and workplace experience. Both components must be successfully completed to graduate from the programme.

What You Need to Know
  • Compulsory Attendance: Attending your assigned host site for interviews and scheduled workplace experience is a formal, compulsory instruction.

  • Consequences of Non-Attendance: Failing to attend without a valid reason can lead to the immediate termination of your learnership on the grounds of gross insubordination, absconding, or bringing the company into disrepute.

  • Policy Acceptance: By agreeing below, you indicate that you understand the critical importance of attending all classes, interviews, and workplace placements, and accept this policy.

If you have any questions or require clarity before proceeding, please contact Yolande Windvogel.

Learner Pledge and Rules of Conduct

To maintain a professional training environment, all learners must commit to high standards of attendance, honesty, and accountability. This pledge outlines your basic responsibilities and the consequences of misconduct.

What You Need to Know
  • Attendance and Communication: If you cannot make it to class, you must inform your manager and facilitator at least 2 hours before class starts. If you are running late, you must notify them immediately.

  • Absence Due to Illness: If you are sick and cannot attend class, you must immediately inform your manager and facilitator, and submit a valid registered doctor's note stating the examination date and that you are unfit for duty.

  • Zero Tolerance for Dishonesty: Any form of dishonesty, misrepresentation, or submitting a falsified or tampered sick note will result in immediate disciplinary action.

  • Unauthorised Absence: Being absent without permission or failing to submit a doctor's note will lead to warnings and a suspension of your stipend. Being absent without permission for more than 3 consecutive days can result in the termination of your learnership.

  • Module Submissions: You are required to submit all learning modules on time. If you miss an agreed-upon deadline without an approved arrangement, your stipend will be suspended immediately and you may face disciplinary action leading to termination.

  • Policy Acceptance: By agreeing below, you indicate that you understand these rules of conduct, carefully accept the responsibilities of this pledge, and acknowledge that failure to comply can result in warnings, stipend suspension, or the termination of your learnership.

If you have any questions or require clarity before proceeding, please contact Yolande Windvogel.
